Tokyo · Toyosu
Installations pull your whole body into the work: water you walk through, an infinity room that multiplies in mirrors, and a garden where flowers shift with your steps. Imagery changes with where you stand, so the same room looks different moment to moment, with plenty to photograph and film.
Osaka · Nagai Park
After sunset, the botanical garden’s real trees, water and paths become a digital canvas that responds to movement and sound. It is an outdoor garden walk rather than an indoor gallery, so the evening becomes a stroll through lit-up nature instead of another museum hall.
Fukuoka · Momochi
You search for digital creatures with your phone and build your own field guide, then move on to an athletics forest where climbing and running animate the artwork. Closer to active play than a walk-through exhibition, it keeps children engaged for a long time.
teamLab Planets TOKYO is a short walk from Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome line. You visit barefoot, so shoes and bags go into lockers at the entrance; visit length varies, but setting aside an hour or two leaves room to linger.
teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka sits inside Nagai Park, close to Nagai Station on the Midosuji subway line. It is a long outdoor walk, so wear comfortable shoes, and bring insect repellent in summer or warm layers in winter.
