Wan Lai runs on 17 to 19 April (up to the 20th) around Beach Road in Pattaya. The dates differ from Bangkok's Songkran, so keep them apart when you book flights and rooms. The tours here were chosen to finish in the morning so you can join Beach Road in the afternoon.
The earliest plans are the yacht and island trips. The Koh Sak yacht meets at 07:40 and lasts three and a half hours, the Nemo Island BBQ picks up at 06:30 and returns at 13:00, and the private Nemo snorkelling trip picks up at 07:30 and ends at 12:30. You are on the water before the sun climbs and free to rest or head to the festival at midday.
If the sea feels like too much, there are land mornings. The morning dolphin show picks up at 10:00 and ends at 13:00, and the Nong Nooch and floating market taxi tour lasts six hours. The five-hour custom private tour from 08:00 to 13:00 suits a cafe and eatery round in the city.
For products where you go to the pier yourself, leave early given Wan Lai traffic. The Koh Sak yacht meets at Bali Hai Pier 6 and the private Koh Larn yacht at Ocean Marina car park 2. Pier showers cost a fee, so pack spare clothes and a waterproof pouch.
Sea trips may not suit pregnant guests or older travellers. Pregnant guests cannot join the Koh Sak yacht and guests aged 65 and over cannot join the private Nemo trip, so check your party first and read each listing's refund rules for weather cancellations.
