8 Hotels Near Asok BTS That Make Bangkok Easier

The appeal of staying near Asok is being able to change your plans without arranging another taxi. Take the BTS towards Siam, use Sukhumvit MRT for the old town, or have lunch at Terminal 21 and drop your shopping back at the hotel. These stays are on the station's doorstep or within roughly a ten-minute walk. The useful question is what you want to come back to: a garden pool, a room above the mall, or a smaller hotel that leaves more of the day for exploring.

Sofitel suits a trip where dinner, a spa appointment and time in the hotel are part of the plan. Its French-inspired setting, pool and spa give it a different feel from a purely practical station stay. There is skywalk access towards Asok, but it is further from the station than the doorstep options, so weigh the hotel experience against the extra walk.

Our selection

How we chose

  • We looked at the route as well as the distance: a station link and a short walk along a busy pavement are different experiences when it rains or you have luggage.
  • MonkeyTravel guest reviews helped inform the selection. This is an editorial shortlist, not a booking ranking; each card shows the current review count and rating.
  • The hotels serve different trips, from a family shopping break and a pool-focused weekend to a short business visit or a stay spent mostly out in the city.

Good to know before you book

Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT have different names but form the same interchange. The BTS is useful for Siam and the Sukhumvit shopping districts; the MRT opens up routes towards the old town and Chatuchak. They use separate fare systems, so check the ticket you need when changing lines.

If this is your first visit, look beyond the phrase 'near the station'. Solaria links directly to Asok Exit 4, while Sheraton and Grande Centre Point also have convenient station connections. Travelling with a pushchair, heavy luggage or limited mobility makes lift access and steps worth checking before you choose a room.

Planning a family stay? Compare occupancy and breakfast on the same basis across hotels. A child sharing an existing bed may still incur a breakfast charge. Connecting rooms can be useful, but their presence in the hotel does not guarantee that your booked rooms will connect; ask whether the arrangement can be confirmed.

For a work trip, decide which railway you will use most. Hilton Grande Asoke is closer to Sukhumvit MRT than to Asok BTS, making it worth a look for QSNCC visits. If you are mostly travelling along the BTS line, a direct station link may save more effort than a larger room slightly further away.

The ten-minute walk is an approximate planning guide, not a timed route test. Distances come from hotel guidance and property information. Your choice of exit, the hotel entrance, crossings, heat and luggage can push the journey beyond ten minutes. Allow extra time on arrival and check the walking route rather than judging by a map pin alone.

Rates and availability depend on dates, guests and selected options. Check the terms on the product page.
