From a one-player booking to the ride back to your hotel
Start with where you're staying and how a round fits into your day. Muang Kaew is on the Bang Na side, Summit Windmill is in Bang Phli, Phoenix Gold Bangkok is in Nong Chok, and Lam Lukka is north of the city in Pathum Thani. A course near the airport isn't necessarily near your hotel, so check the route both ways and leave room for traffic and a later finish.
On the product page, pick your date, number of holes and one player, then read the booking notes. Minimum group sizes can differ between weekdays, weekends, Thai public holidays and time bands. When we checked, Lam Lukka listed a one-player minimum on weekdays and two on weekend mornings and afternoons, so it's a weekday-only option. If a single-player slot doesn't show for your time, ask about another time or course instead of adding extra players just to get through the booking.
Ask whether your booking gives you a confirmed tee time or a standby place to join another group. With a booking for one, the starter usually arranges your playing partners, and pairing can mean a wait. You can't count on an empty tee, specific partners or an English-speaking group. Check the confirmation and reporting time before you book a tightly timed ride back.
Treat transport and equipment as separate jobs unless your selected option says they're included. Give your driver the hotel address, the number of golf bags and where you want to be dropped off, and agree how to reach each other. If pairing or pace of play changes your finish time, you'll need to move the pickup. This guide covers a day round from a hotel you've already booked; it doesn't include accommodation or a shared transfer.
Travelling without clubs? Compare renting at the course with a hotel-delivery service in Bangkok, and check availability before you confirm the round. Left-handed sets, shaft options, women's clubs and advance booking differ by provider. For hotel delivery, check the service area, front-desk storage and how collection works. Pack your own golf shoes, balls and glove rather than assuming they come with the rental set.
The day before, save your confirmation, the course name and the check-in instructions. Read the dress code, and find out which of the green fee, caddie fee, buggy and caddie tip are included and which you'll pay locally. Rates change with date, holes and time band, so rely on the option you selected rather than a fixed price quoted in a blog.
On the day, arrive when instructed, show your booking confirmation and follow the starter's pairing and tee-off directions. If rain or a change of plans affects your round, contact the booking team and follow the course's play, amendment and cancellation policy rather than not turning up. Leave enough room in the day for the journey out, check-in, any pairing wait, the round and the ride back.
