Silky Oak Country Club opened in the same Ban Chang complex in 2010, the newest of the three at 7,041 yards. Alternating it with the par-6 challenge of St. Andrews 2000 and the more traditional Green Valley changes pace and feel, which makes it a good middle day in a three-round stay.

It welcomes solo bookings throughout the week, and parties of five or more are required to use carts. It is about 50km from Pattaya.

Chatrium Golf Resort Soi Dao Chanthaburi is a 7,162-yard Dennis Griffiths design opened in 1995, a resort course in the hills of Chanthaburi, further east than Rayong. It suits golfers who want a few quiet days away from the tourist crowds, and single players are accepted on weekdays and weekends.
Rayong Green Valley, St. Andrews 2000 and Silky Oak in Ban Chang sit within one complex, so three days can mean three different courses. There is a golftel on site, which cuts out the daily drive from Pattaya. All three accept single players on weekdays and weekends, handy for small groups.
Allow roughly 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes by car from Suvarnabhumi to the Rayong courses. Playing near Pattaya or the airport on day one and heading down to Rayong from day two keeps the transfers manageable.
Rayong is close to Ban Phe pier, where boats leave for Koh Samet, so a day or two on the island after the golf is easy. Soi Dao in Chanthaburi is further east and suits a quiet, resort-based stay with several rounds.
