If you need a late appointment, the Siam Square lane venues and the Ratchadamri hotel spas are the alternative; some run to midnight, well after the malls have shut.

A premium spa on the third floor of Gaysorn, in the skywalk-linked stretch by BTS Chit Lom. Five single rooms but only one couple room, so pairs should book early, and the scale is small: seven therapists (one male, six female) for seven guests. It also closes earliest on this page, at 20:00, so it will not fit an evening plan. Pregnancy bookings accepted.

On the first floor of CentralWorld Zone B, in the middle of the Ratchadamri shopping run. Four aroma-oil rooms (also used for Thai massage) and a single foot-massage chair, with just one couple room, so pairs need to move early; capacity is five guests. Hours of 10:00-21:00 suit a break between shops or before dinner.

Fifth floor of MBK Center on Phayathai Road, close to BTS National Stadium. Eighteen therapists (four male, fourteen female) serve up to thirteen guests, open 10:00-22:00. Note that two different programmes cannot run in one room here, so a pair choosing different treatments will be in separate rooms.

In the Siam Square Soi 6 lane, open 10:00 to midnight — the latest of the Siam-area venues here. Rooms are split by treatment: eight aroma-oil rooms (two single, six couple) and nine Thai rooms (seven single, two couple), so a couple wanting Thai massage has an option. Capacity is only five guests at a time, so a larger group will be split across slots.

The chair count means little waiting if all you want is a foot massage after a day on your feet, and hours of 10:00-23:30 cover a late finish. Inside a hotel on Soi Mahatlek Luang off Ratchadamri — the hotel-spa option if you want one without leaving the Siam and Chit Lom area.
