Pinehurst, with the same twilight-and-night setup, has 27 holes, so you can rotate combinations on your first round of the year.
For a round that runs into the evening, the night-capable candidates are Panya Indra (27 holes, about 25 km from the airport), Flora Ville (a Nick Faldo design), Bangkok Golf Club and Green Valley. Green Valley is the closest to the airport at about 20 km, and Bangkok Golf Club lets you finish with a massage on site. Last night tee times change by date, so confirm before booking.
If you do not need night play, pick a newer course. Siam Country Club Bangkok opened in 2022 at 7,250 yards, about 25 km from the airport, and Subhapruek is a Dye Design layout with a massage service and practice facilities in one place. Both need three golfers for weekend mornings.
The morning after the countdown, avoid the earliest tee times. An afternoon slot on January 1, or a twilight-capable course, keeps the day intact if you sleep in. Most of these courses require carts, so check whether the cart fee is included.
