Planning a Bangkok round without your own clubs
Hotel delivery: the featured Bangkok rental service delivers clubs to your hotel front desk and collects them after use. Book at least a day ahead, enter the hotel name and use the same guest name as your room booking. Your hotel must be able to store the clubs. This service does not deliver to courses, condominiums or Airbnbs, and cannot be used outside Bangkok.
Renting at the course: collect your clubs when you arrive and return them after your round, without carrying a bag to and from the hotel. Ask about club hire when you book your tee time. Some courses accept advance requests; others arrange rental only at the pro shop. If you need a particular set, ask before booking the round.
Left-handed and women's clubs: Pinehurst and The Vintage offer left-handed hire. Lotus Valley has men's left-handed clubs only, requested at least a day ahead. The RG City in Rangsit takes requests for men's and women's left-handed sets with the same notice. Alpine offers men's and women's sets, while Bangkok Golf Club has men's right-handed sets only. Give your playing date when asking whether a set is available.
On-site hire and deposits: at Thai Country Club, inspect the clubs before requesting and paying for rental. Summit Windmill also gives on-site hire instructions and requires a deposit, so ask about the process before travelling. Nikanti takes separate deposits for clubs and shoes. Check the amount, accepted payment methods and how you'll get the deposit back.
What to pack: bring balls, a glove, tees and suitable golf clothing. Bringing your own golf shoes also saves having to find your size. Muang Kaew and Phoenix Gold Bangkok rent shoes and umbrellas; Flora Ville rents neither. If you plan to hire shoes, ask about your size before leaving for the course.
Before tee-off: if you've booked delivery, check that the clubs have arrived and collect them from reception before your driver arrives. For course hire, allow time to choose and collect a set before the round. Count the clubs and check their condition before using them. Tell the staff straight away if anything is missing or damaged.
Tee times and transport: a club-rental booking does not include a round of golf or a transfer. Book your tee time and return transport separately. If you're taking a hotel-delivered set, tell the driver how many people and golf bags are travelling so there's enough luggage space.
Returning the clubs: return course-hired equipment as instructed by the pro shop. For hotel delivery, leave the set at the agreed front desk and tell reception that the rental company will collect it. If you're changing hotels or checking out early, agree the return address and time with the company beforehand.
Playing more than one round: check the rental period and return date before booking. Use the product terms for multi-day hire, delivery charges, cancellation and loss or damage. Green fees and buggy and caddie charges depend on the date, number of holes and booking option, so check the round you actually intend to book.
