If you are worried about the morning after the countdown, choose a course near Phuket town. Red Mountain (about 10 km, 20 minutes) is the signature quarry-terrain course, and Phuket Country Club's Old Course (about 11 km) is the shortest on this list at 6,484 yards, easy on tired legs.
To set aside a full day for something new, Aquella, opened in 2021 at 7,019 yards, is the candidate. It is about 75 km from Phuket town, a long transfer, but only about 45 km from the airport, so a morning round before heading to the airport is possible.
