How we chose

  • Choose between the station and the Omicho and castle area. Hyatt Centric Kanazawa is about 200 m from the station (straight-line distance). Kanazawa Hakuchoro Hotel Sanraku and KKR Hotel Kanazawa are around 300 m from Kanazawa Castle and 400 to 600 m from Omicho Market.
  • Decide whether you want a hot-spring or large communal bath. Sanraku and KKR have hot-spring baths and saunas, The Square Hotel has communal baths with a sauna and steam room, and SOKI Kanazawa has a communal bath and a spa.
  • Getting around is part of the choice too. The Square Hotel lends bicycles free to guests and Sanraku rents them, which makes the run between Omicho, Higashi Chaya and Kenrokuen easy. Sainoniwa runs a free local shuttle.

Good to know before you book

On a first visit, staying near Omicho Market keeps walking to a minimum. SOKI Kanazawa is within about 100 m of the market and The Square Hotel about 300 m, and both are within roughly 1 km of Higashi Chaya. You can have breakfast at a market restaurant and be back at the hotel for a rest.
