Naha Airport is about thirty minutes from the southern courses and roughly ninety from the Onna and Nago resort belt. Staying in the resort belt removes the trip in and out of the city entirely.
Many courses belong to resorts, so hotel and golf can sit on one site, and several have holes facing the sea. What the package covers — room, meals, cart, airport transfer — differs by product.
Season is the reason to play Okinawa. Tee times concentrate between December and March, when mainland courses close or turn cold, so lock the time once your dates are set. In summer, heat and typhoons matter — check the cancellation and refund terms.
Comparing a Japanese tee time on the headline green fee alone tends to produce a different number at the counter. Confirm whether cart, caddie or self play, lunch, locker and the local golf tax are included, then check rental clubs or shoes, minimum player counts, two-player supplements, payment method and whether overseas visitors can book. Clubs may also specify check-in times, dress codes and bathing etiquette, so submit player names accurately.
Three nights in the Onna or Nago resort belt with two consecutive rounds, a day for the Churaumi Aquarium or the beach, and a southern course on departure day. With two nights, narrow to either the resort belt or the south.
