From the afternoon of December 31 to sunset, the Melody sunset cruise starts hotel pickups at 14:40 and ends at 21:15. It combines the Promthep Cape sunset, a DJ, BBQ and Thai and Indian buffets, and needs a passport copy, so handle that right after booking.
For the coast, Kan Eang at Chalong Bay (10:00-23:00) offers southern Thai food with an ocean view, while FUGA (11:00-24:00) and Sea Salt (12:00-24:00) inside the same Patong Bay resort serve surf and turf and charcoal seafood. FUGA and Sea Salt overlap in time, so pick one.
For hotel restaurant evenings there are Vista at Cassia Phuket (18:30-22:00 moo ka ta) and Bubbles at Grand Mercure (18:00-22:00, weekday buffet themes). Cassia has a paid shuttle to Jungceylon in Patong, and Bubbles changes its program by day, so check the January 1 menu.
On the Old Town side, Blue Elephant serves a course in its 1903 building from 11:30 to 23:00, and Three Monkeys in the jungle stays open to 25:00, the latest close here.
