KRABI TOUR GUIDE

Krabi: Routes, duration and included fees

September and October in Krabi can bring rain and changing sea conditions. This list includes shore-based activities and Hong Islands as a sea-day option.

Indoors there are Aonang Thai Cookery School and Siam Cuisine. Aonang runs at 09:00, 13:00 and 17:30 and takes one guest; Siam Cuisine makes six dishes, needs two guests and does not admit children aged eight or under.

Mangroves come two ways. The Tungyeepeng village half day covers a gondola and a coconut farm, leaving at 08:30 or 13:00; the mangrove kayak runs 08:00-16:00 with cafe lunch but can change with tide and weather.

If you stay on Lanta, the Lanta mangrove half day (pickup 07:50 or 11:50) and Lanta Elephant Sanctuary (pickup 07:30 or 13:00) are close by. The elephant program runs in light rain, but no-shows are not refunded.

Beach yoga is at 07:30-09:00 in the morning or 17:30-19:00 from January to October, a good fit for gaps between showers. The Hong half-day private tour needs four guests, excludes children under 11 and can have heavy speedboat bounce.

Before booking, confirm pickup area and surcharges, minimum numbers, age and health conditions, and the rules for running and refunds in rain.

TRIP PLANNER

Krabi Tours & Activities: what to compare

  • Choose in order of low dependence on the sea

Cooking schools are indoors, the Tungyeepeng village and mangrove kayak run on river and coastal forest, and yoga is on the beach. Hong Islands has the longest speedboat leg and is the most weather-exposed, so schedule one day only.

  • How to read the rain and weather rules

The Tungyeepeng village, Lanta mangrove, Lanta elephant, yoga and Hong Islands tours run in light rain and state that skipping on your own judgment makes a refund difficult. The mangrove kayak says the program can change with tide and weather, and Hong Islands warns of heavy speedboat bounce.

  • Lanta and Ao Nang: pickup areas

The Lanta mangrove half day picks up inside Lanta Island, and Aonang Thai Cookery School includes pickup from Ao Nang town. Which tours you can use depends on where you are staying.

  • Age and fitness conditions

Siam Cuisine does not admit children aged eight or under, the Hong private tour excludes children under 11, and the mangrove kayak excludes people with high blood pressure, asthma or bone conditions, and pregnant guests. Yoga is bookable from age seven.
