A popular Kyoto attraction that preserves the beauty of traditional Japanese culture, it is the head shrine of around 30,000 Inari shrines across Japan. It is especially famous for Senbon Torii, a striking corridor of thousands of vermilion torii gates, and is said to be one of the world’s must-visit destinations in your lifetime.
- 11:00 Kiyomizu-dera Temple (lunch at your leisure) [approx. 150 minutes]
A UNESCO World Heritage temple dramatically perched on a cliff, Kiyomizu-dera is famous for the expression “to take the plunge, as if jumping off the stage at Kiyomizu-dera.”
The approach to the temple runs through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, where traditional Japanese architecture, distinctive shops, and visitors dressed in kimono create an exotic atmosphere.Admission fees are not included.
- 14:00 Kinkaku-ji Temple [approx. 40 minutes]
This World Cultural Heritage Site is an awe-inspiring sight, with the second and third floors of its Shariden, which houses the Buddha’s relics, covered in gold leaf. It recreates the Pure Land on earth and is especially famous for its beautiful reflection on the pond.

- 15:30 Arashiyama [Approx. 120 minutes]
Arashiyama’s iconic bamboo grove (Chikurin) is a spectacular sight. The area is also home to Nonomiya Shrine, famous for enshrining a deity of love and relationships.

Meaning “Bridge That Crosses the Moon,” this bridge is one of Arashiyama’s symbols, along with Chikurin.The hot spring is optional and available in Arashiyama. Admission is not included.
