Basic Information
teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM is an immersive digital art museum located in Toyosu, Tokyo. Created by the international art collective teamLab, the museum invites visitors to experience art using their entire bodies rather than simply viewing it from a distance. Its large-scale installations combine light, water, mirrors, sound, and digital technology to create constantly changing environments.
One of the museum's most distinctive features is the Water Area, where visitors remove their shoes and walk barefoot through interactive artworks. In one installation, colorful digital koi swim around people's feet, responding to their movements. The Infinite Crystal Universe surrounds visitors with countless illuminated points of light, while the Garden Area features real orchids suspended above a mirrored floor.
In January 2025, teamLab Planets expanded with more than 20 additional artworks, including the Athletics Forest, Catching and Collecting Extinct Forest, and Future Park. These areas combine physical movement, creative activities, and digital interaction. Visitors can explore colorful environments, interact with animated creatures, and create drawings that become part of the artworks.
The museum also includes outdoor installations and dining spaces where visitors can experience art alongside food and drinks. Located near Shin-Toyosu Station, it is easily accessible from central Tokyo. With its unusual combination of technology and sensory experiences, teamLab Planets is a popular destination for contemporary art, photography, and interactive sightseeing.

Since the 2025 expansion added many interactive exhibits, allow approximately two to three hours if you want to explore the museum without rushing.
