One of the main attractions is the large indoor penguin pool, where visitors can watch Magellanic penguins swimming and interacting. The aquarium also features fur seals, colorful tropical fish, and fascinating jellyfish displays, including the Big Schale tank, where hundreds of jellyfish float gracefully in illuminated water.
Another highlight is the Ogasawara Large Tank, inspired by the ocean surrounding the Ogasawara Islands, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Visitors can also explore coral reef exhibits featuring garden eels and observe aquarium staff caring for marine animals in the laboratory.
With its diverse exhibits and relaxing atmosphere, Sumida Aquarium is a popular destination for families, couples, and visitors exploring the Tokyo Skytree area.
