Points policy

There are two main ways to earn points with MonkeyTravel.

Our points program is designed to reward customers and help them enjoy more excitement, fun, and memorable travel experiences.

1. Earn points based on product bookings

Eligibility

Depending on your membership tier, you earn 1% (Silver/Gold) or 1.5% (VIP) of the booking amount, excluding any amount paid with points.

Local-currency payments are not eligible for points.

Points can be earned only on payments made in Korean won.

Benefits by membership tier

VIP Member

Members who have paid more than
3 million won in the past 5 years

Non-domestic golf products: earn 1.5%
Domestic golf products: earn 1%

Gold Member

Members who have confirmed at least one reservation

1% of the booking amount
excluding any amount paid with points
Non-domestic golf products: earn 1%
Domestic golf products: earn 0.5% cash and 0.3% card

Silver Member

Members who have not confirmed any reservations

No points are earned for bookings paid with points.

Cash payments include real-time bank transfers. Money top-ups through easy-payment services are not eligible.

When points are credited

Booking → Payment (excluding KRW payments) → Points credited automatically the day after you use the product.

Notes

Points can't be used on bookings that earn points.
When paying in KRW, you cannot earn or redeem points, and the payment does not count toward your membership tier.
For bookings paid partly with points, points are earned on the remaining amount paid.
The points programs for MonkeyTravel World (excluding Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Guam) and partner members are separate.

2. Earn points for writing posts

Eligibility

Members who submit travel reviews, Live Reviews, or MonkeyTravel Compass place reviews will receive points.

Points awarded

50 points (minimum 15 characters)
Comments earn points up to a maximum of three per day.
MonkeyTravel Compass Hot Place Review
100 points (minimum 50 characters)
Compass place reviews earn points up to a maximum of 10 per day.
Live Review
200 points (minimum 50 characters)
Earn 300 additional points for uploading one or more photos.
Travel Review
1,000 points (minimum 300 characters)
Travel reviews earn points up to a maximum of one per day.

When points are credited

Points are credited as soon as your post is published. If you delete the post later, the points awarded will be deducted.

Notes

Posts about bookings or posts in My Page do not earn points.
Points earned by writing posts do not affect your membership tier.
Repeatedly posting the same Live Review or travel-review content, or posting unrelated content to farm points, harms the community. Any points earned may be deducted, and bookings paid for with those points may be canceled.

Point details

Value: 1 point is worth 1 Korean won.
Minimum: You can use at least 5,000 points when paying 10,000 won or more.
Use: Points can be used like cash for all products, except when paying in KRW. For bookings paid partly with points, you can earn points on the remaining amount paid.
Validity: 5 years. Unused points expire automatically at the end of the validity period.
Ownership: Points may be used only for bookings made in your name. They cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged. All points expire when you close your membership account and cannot be restored.
