Coconut Village used to be a riverside retreat for local residents and soldiers. It’s also known as a spot where locals enjoyed fishing using basket boats.

Today, basket boats have become one of Hoi An’s local icons. Many visitors come not for basket-boat fishing, but for the basket-boat experience.

While riding the basket boat, you’ll enjoy the Coconut Village wetland ecosystem and watch local fishermen as well as the basket-boat show.

The basket boat is operated in pairs (from age 6). Children up to age 5 join with an adult for boarding.

Estimated time: 45 minutes for the basket-boat experience.

Hoi An Old Town also offers plenty of photo spots to capture multiple unforgettable “life shots.”
