Basic Information
Built in the 14th century in accordance with the principles of feng shui, the citadel of the Hồ dynasty historically demonstrates the flourishing and spread of Confucianism in Vietnam at the end of the 14th century to other regions of East Asia. According to these principles, it was constructed on a scenic ridge where the Dao Loi River meets the confluence of the Ma Giang and Buoi Giang rivers, between the Thuy Xuan and Ton Xuan mountain ranges. It is also inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

- The fortress of the Ho Dynasty is located in Vinh Loc District, Thanh Hoa Province, 150 km south of Hanoi, Vietnam. It takes approximately 3 hours by car from Hanoi and about 1 hour and 10 minutes from Ninh Binh.
