Overview
Private Full-Day Taxi Tour to Kanchanaburi Safari & Death Railway
This Private day tour from Bangkok is designed for a comfortable full-day exploration of Kanchanaburi’s nature and scenery.

The itinerary is planned to minimize excessive travel, with a smooth flow from morning through evening so you can enjoy the experience comfortably from start to finish.

Your day begins at “Safari Park Kanchanaburi,” where you can get up close to the animals in the park’s spacious surroundings. You’ll then enjoy a meal and some downtime amid Kanchanaburi’s peaceful atmosphere.

In the afternoon, travel along the train route that symbolizes the region and take in scenic views where dramatic cliffs meet the river. Finally, visit the Bridge on the River Kwai to experience firsthand how Kanchanaburi’s history and present coexist. You’ll return to Bangkok as the sun begins to set.

Rather than focusing on just one attraction, this tour offers a well-balanced combination of nature, scenery, and travel experiences. It’s ideal for families, couples, and anyone who prefers a peaceful getaway.
Safari Park Kanchanaburi
Enjoy both a vehicle safari and a walking tour, with opportunities to see animals up close in a spacious natural setting. The open, immersive atmosphere is a highlight, offering a more expansive experience than traditional zoos centered around cages. With a simple layout and well-maintained facilities, it’s easy to enjoy even for families with children and first-time visitors.

* If you would like to take photos with giraffes from the dedicated open safari vehicle, you can apply on-site for 1,000 baht per person (payable on-site).
Restaurant (lunch)
Set in a natural garden, this restaurant offers a relaxing dining experience with views of lush greenery. It serves a wide range of Thai dishes and simple international options, all with consistently good flavor, making it a comfortable lunch stop during your tour.
Death Railway
Built during World War II, this historic railway is especially impressive as it winds along cliffs and rivers. Today, part of the line operates as a tourist railway, offering a chance to admire Kanchanaburi’s natural scenery while experiencing its historical significance by train. The train travels at a leisurely pace, making it easy to enjoy the views through the windows. Though brief, it is sure to be a memorable experience.
The Bridge on the River Kwai
The Bridge over the River Kwai is a historic landmark in Kanchanaburi, built as part of a railway during World War II. Today, it remains an active railway bridge that visitors can also cross on foot, offering a relaxing way to take in the scenery along the river. The view is especially striking around sunset, when the river and bridge are beautifully framed together.
