Review Information

Today, I'd like to introduce you to North East, a renowned Thai restaurant in Bangkok~

This place is somewhat hard to locate, so many Koreans don't visit it (it's a 10–15 minute walk from Silom MRT or Sala Daeng BTS stations).

It is also recognized as a top dining spot by Thais, and with nearby financial districts, it attracts many foreigners, especially Japanese people.

Since I used BTS, I got off at Salla-dang Station~

I took a photo of the place you need to walk to just before descending to Exit 4. Roppongi Park is at the end of the road in front of me~

As soon as you exit BTS, you'll see Muja and Mango.

If you walk straight from BTS, you'll find the Du Jitti Hotel, and right next to it is Silom MRT station. Using the MRT can help you shorten your walking distance a bit ^^

This is Exit 2 of Silom MRT Station. You can come out from here or from the opposite side, but the entrance number on the opposite side is unclear. 😞

If you walk straight ahead with Lumpini Park on your left, you'll see the HSBC building in about 10 minutes—that means you're almost there! ^^

 Finally arrived~

This is the entrance.

It's on the first floor. We arrived around 6:30 PM, and the first floor was already completely full.

So we head up to the second floor.

The second floor was about 70% full. There was a company dinner for Japanese people that day, so there were even more guests.

This is the food we ordered today.

I ordered it thinking it was Pad Pong Kari, but it's a bit different. It was crab meat that you can eat with the shell on.

At first, I spat out all the shells, but my Thai friend said they're all edible. They're not hard, so you can eat them~

I ordered it because it looked like Tangsuyuk in the menu photos, but...

It was similar to sweet and sour pork^^ It was made with chicken and included cashews and peanuts.

This dish was pork with Thai-style seasoning, but it had papaya, so I didn't really like it ㅠㅠ

 I'm enjoying this as ordered~

It was the last dish served, and when I asked what it was, they said it's something like gopchang.

It looked like it might smell bad, but it has no odor at all and tastes great. Highly recommended!!

Here's an enlarged photo of the intestines haha

We're all done. We ordered about four dishes for two people, and it was tough... I'm so full~~

This dessert, made with coconut milk, was the final treat I enjoyed~

Here's the receipt for the food I ate today~

It was a little over 30,000 Korean won, but it didn't feel burdensome.

I've eaten a lot~^^

This is a place that Thais also say is delicious.

It's a bit inconvenient due to the distance, but...

If you're craving authentic Thai local cuisine, this is a place definitely worth visiting~!!

It was Northeast~
