Not No. 1, but No. 6: Ppudong's Recommended Restaurant

While walking along Phuket's Patong Road, you'll always be drawn to stop by this bustling restaurant.
At first glance, an ordinary local restaurant, one that might even appear shabby... 

Since your name is also "Number Six" (No. 6), it seems everyone these days is hanging up a sign claiming to be the original best spot.  

Compared to restaurants in Korea, this is truly a humble name.  

Not number one, not number six. 

Every time I went, there were so many customers that I ended up eating elsewhere. 

I will wait and see this time. 

Had I been waiting for about ten minutes? As soon as the guests who had finished eating left, I quickly claimed a seat.  Browsing the menu. ^^   

The menu board clearly states "No. 6" in such large letters. 


 

This is the interior of the restaurant. It's a local eatery commonly found in Phuket or Thailand.  

If there are many guests, don't be surprised when the hostess invites everyone to sit together.

We also prepare Western cuisine in addition to Thai food.  

There are many guesthouses nearby, so they also provide breakfast.

There are also simple sandwiches and burgers.

'Pat Krapao Plamuk' is a stir-fried dish made with squid and basil, which suits the Korean palate very well. 

It's a satisfying meal on its own when mixed with rice. ^^  


 

Yamunsen is a Korean dish consisting of noodles similar to dangmyeon, tossed with various vegetables. 

The taste is sweet, sour, and spicy... it whets your appetite on days when you have no desire to eat~~ 

It's even better when enjoyed with Singha and Chang beers, the popular Thai brews~ 

 
 

And Pad Thai, a stir-fried noodle dish beloved by many. 

I checked what people are eating at Number 6 Restaurant, and most of them are having Pad Pong Kari..

The crab curry was stir-fried with crab; although the crabs were a bit small, there was plenty of them, and it seemed cheaper than other restaurants.

Since our group had eaten a lot of seafood the previous day and wanted something light to accompany beer,

I ordered some simple Thai food. ^^ 

Phuket Patong has numerous restaurants, but those frequented by local Thais are...

Since there are more restaurants catering to travelers,

It's a bit difficult to expect authentic local flavors. It's not cheap either.   

 So, when selecting a restaurant, we tend to rely heavily on TripAdvisor and traveler reviews.

Number Six may not be one of Phuket's most representative eateries, but it is highly recommended by travelers. 

Since so many travelers who have visited Number Six have recommended it, I get the impression that it does more than just the basics.  

It's not a particularly famous restaurant worth making a special trip to, but it has excellent accessibility and a strategic location.

It is also reasonable in terms of price.
