Review Information
The Conrad Bangkok is a 5-star hotel that consistently enjoys popularity due to its attractive promotions and relatively affordable rates.
You can also find Bangkok's top restaurants within the Conrad Hotel.
The Japanese and Chinese restaurants within the hotel are quite popular among locals as well,
Given that this is a restaurant in a five-star hotel, the prices tend to be slightly on the higher side, but if you purchase a set menu discount voucher through a local travel agency,
You can have a meal at a relatively low cost.
Taking advantage of my vacation, I'm trying out the Chinese restaurant, Liu Restaurant.
Conrad Hotel is located in the Ratchathewi area of Bangkok. It is just two BTS stations away from Hua Lamphong Station, the city center of Bangkok.
Just get off at Frongit Station and walk a little down the alley; it's not difficult to find.
The shopping mall Olseason, connected to the Conrad Hotel, operates a shuttle that includes the Conrad Hotel. If you get off at BTS Station,
If you find a bus, you may board it.
The restaurant is located on the third floor of the hotel.
Show your discount voucher at the entrance, or mention the name of the travel agency you booked with, and staff will guide you to your seat.
Lunch sets are available from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
The atmosphere is quite upscale.
Perhaps because I arrived a bit late, or because there weren't many customers, the staff kindly guided me to a reserved seat, assuming it was for me.
As expected, this is the service one would expect from a 5-star hotel.
In Korea, a single course meal at a 5-star hotel would typically cost around 100,000 won, yet I've booked for approximately 25,000 won, so...
First and foremost, I am satisfied with the price.
The table is set in advance. There is a wide variety of sauces. They say that shortly, dim sum will be served, and you can dip them into your preferred sauce.
As befits a Korean cuisine course, the menu is set up on the table like this.
The menu doesn't seem to change daily. The dim sum selection may vary slightly.
This course is served in the following order: dim sum, chicken soup, stir-fried bok choy with oyster sauce, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, and dessert.
This dish is not part of the set menu, but a complimentary appetizer served before the course begins.
It's a type of dim sum, though I don't know the exact name. On the right, it looks like grated radish,
If anyone knows, please let me know.
Dimsums are served one by one.
It appears that dim sum can be ordered again, as someone asked if anything more was needed after the initial serving was presented.
The chicken soup at the bottom right was tangy and really whetted my appetite. It felt like a nourishing dish that made my body warm from the inside.
This is stir-fried baby bok choy with oyster sauce. In fact, since I'm a meat-eater and don't really like vegetables, I only had one bite. hehe
It's crispy, tangy, and sweet sweet-and-sour pork. You can almost taste it just by reading the description, can't you?
This is a fried rice served in a small container. It's perfectly fluffy and delicious. I've eaten enough to feel my stomach bursting.
For your reference, I went alone. The portion is quite large for one person, but of course, if two people share it, the amount will be doubled. Hehe
Lastly, there is dessert.
It's dessert. There's so much of it.
Please note that desserts are brought to the table only upon request.
Of course, if you've cleared your table, the staff will bring it over discreetly.
Finally, we have finished our meal.
Even at a typical Korean Chinese restaurant, if you want to order a set meal, you'd need to bring 20,000 to 30,000 won per person,
Paying 25,000 won, this was an excellent level for a hotel buffet.
Guests staying at Conrad may want to try it without hesitation~
This is also a meal worth considering for those planning to stay near Conrad.
