Roti-Mataba
Basic Information
Review Information
You will be able to see the fortress of Prašumen on the road to Praga.
Roti Matava is located right across from the Prasunam Fortress.
The photo below is of the Pragsmen Fortress :)
They've dressed it up in a fresh white outfit again, haha.
Still, the last time I visited, it had an old-world charm that felt atmospheric and pleasant, but now it's as good as new.

This place, Lotte Martaba, is extremely popular not only with travelers but also with locals.
During lunch hours, people line up too.

A variety of curries fill the place.
Ha - There are loads of lotte outside the restaurant entrance! Haha

Seating is available on both the first and second floors. There are also about two tables near the entrance by the roadside.
The first floor is very hot because there's no air conditioning and it's right next to the kitchen ㅠㅠ
However, the second floor is cool and refreshing thanks to the powerful air conditioning. We headed up to the second floor and settled in.
Oh @_@ Since it's been a while, we've renewed the menu and made everything anew.
Previously, it was provided in file format, but now it is supplied as a coated print directly.
The signature dish of "Rotimatava" is "Matava" ^_^
It seems there is no precise meaning.
It is a dish where vegetables, meat, and curry are combined to fill the roti and then baked.
The menu below includes chicken, beef, seafood, and more.
I asked an employee, and while the most popular menu item is indeed beef,
They say Vegetable Mataba is their signature item. haha
Usually, Koreans tend to order beef matataba.
I wanted to try other things too, but I ordered the Beef. haha

I also ordered a banana chocolate syrup roti for dessert, haha.

You can order rice with Curry,
Or if you want to eat roti and curry together,
It seems you can order your desired curry at Plain Roti, which has a blue background.
The curry at Lotte Mattaba was delicious in every way.
(3-4 years ago, I lived in a neighborhood called Pienkao, and since it was close by, I often came here to eat. Hahaha.)
Among them, the one that suited my taste best was
Kkaenggi Yeowwan-kkai (Green curry with chicken) - It's spicy.
Kkak-kki-yu-wan-neo-eo (Green Curry with Beef) - It's spicy.
Massaman curry with chicken - it's sweet.

We'll also add bottled water as one of the popular menu items. Haha. Thai Tea with milk ^_^
H.. I definitely had a meal at Naissoi, yet...
I ended up asking for this and that.
I even ordered some spring rolls on top of that...
Let's try the drink first, haha.

Wow, it's really sweet @_@

Then, the ordered dishes began to arrive one by one.
Since I've already ordered it, I'll eat heartily and vow to diet next time. Haha.

It was completely full -

It's not greasy when eaten with tangy-sweet pickled cucumbers and peppers ^_^

The spring rolls were also filled just as generously as the matataba.
Dip it in sweet chili sauce and take a satisfying bite -

Usually, spring rolls have a thick outer layer and very little filling inside,
Since it's made with fresh ingredients, the outside is crispy and the inside is hearty,
That was a really good choice.
While Matoba is famous in Lottemataba, I personally prefer this Vegetable Spring Roll.
They were much tastier than the spring rolls served at a regular restaurant.

Among the dishes I ordered during this visit, this one took the top spot for its visual appeal... hehe
Banana Choco Roti @_@
Not just chocolate syrup, but condensed milk too!!
Even using small, plump bananas called monkey bananas,
It's not only soft but also not overly sweet.
The roti is thin, not thick, so it melts in your mouth the moment you take a bite.
Haa... I want to eat again ㅠㅠ
It was a good choice for dessert.

I also ordered the plain roti and curry.
When ordering curry, the staff will ask whether you need just the broth without meat or if you want the meat as well.
I've already ordered a variety of menu items, and even got a bowl of noodles from Naissui, so...
I ordered only the masala curry (sweet and savory flavor) without meat, requesting just the broth with no meat.

Not only with roti, but also with spring rolls, which adds more richness to the flavor of the spring rolls.
There are other comments, but... "It was delicious ㅠㅠ"

I really enjoyed my meal! Haha.
