Point Usage Policy

There are two main ways to earn points in Monkeytravel

We want to contribute to the customer's benefit through the point system and
share the excitement, fun, leisure, and memories of travel.

1. Earn points based on product reservations

Earn points based on product reservations

Depending on the membership level, 1% (Silver/Gold members) or 1.5% (VIP members) of the reservation amount excluding point payment is accumulated.

Points are not accumulated when paying in local currency.

Points are accumulated only when paying in Korean Won.

Member benefits by grade

VIP Member

Members who have paid more than
300 million won in the past 5 years

Gold Member

Members who have confirmed at least one reservation

1% accumulation

Silver Member

Members who have not confirmed any reservations

1% accumulation

Cash payment is only applicable to "real-time account transfer".

Point accumulation time

Reservation → Payment (excluding KRW payment) → Point accumulation after using the reservation product the next day

Notes

Points cannot be used for reservations that accrue points.
When paying with KRW, points are not accumulated, existing accumulated points cannot be used, and it does not affect your membership level.
For reservations that use points, the payment amount after deducting the points is again accumulated.
The point system for Monkeytravel World (Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, Guam) is separately applied.

2. Earn points based on article writing

Earn points based on product reservations

All Monkeytravel members who participate in writing comments, Monkey compass place reviews, vivid reviews, and travel diaries in each board will receive points.

The point accumulation for registering a comment is limited to a maximum of 3 per day.
MonkeyCompass Hot Place Review
100 points(Minimum 50 characters)
The point accumulation for registering a compass hot place review is limited to a maximum of 10 per day.
Live Review
200 points(Minimum 50 characters)
Only accumulated when there is a reservation for the corresponding product.
Travel Review
1000 points(Minimum 500 characters)
Only accumulated when there is a reservation for the corresponding product.

Point accumulation time

The points are accumulated immediately when the article is posted. (If the article is deleted again, the points paid will also be deducted.)

Notes

Bulletin board posts or My Page posts related to reservations are not related to points.
Articles related to reservations are not related to points.
The points accumulated by writing articles do not affect your membership level.
Repeating the same content of vivid reviews, travel reviews, comments, etc. or posting unrelated content for the purpose of 'point farming' is considered to be a behavior that hinders community and the points will be deducted. The reservation paid with the points will be canceled.
Points are only accumulated for reserved products.

Point details

Value: 1 point has the same value as 1 Korean Won.
Minimum: 5,000 points are available when paying 10,000 won or more.
Use: All products can be used like cash (cannot be used when paying with KRW). For reservations paid with points, the points accumulated for the points used can be accumulated again.
Validity: 5 years (Points that are not used for a period of time will be automatically expired if the validity period expires.)
Ownership of rights: Only available when booking with your own name.
