Located in central Vietnam, Hue is the capital of Thừa Thiên-Huế Province. From 1802 to 1945, it served as the capital of Vietnam under the Nguyễn dynasty. The city is home to many historic monuments and buildings, including Hue’s temples, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hue has a population of approximately 350,000.

To visit all the sights on the Hue tour, you must meet by 9:00 AM at the latest when departing from Da Nang.
If you’re picked up in Lang Co, the Hai Van Pass will not be included in the itinerary.

08:00 Hai Van Pass <☕ Includes one coffee or other drink>: The Hai Van Pass is a 21-km mountain road crossing the Annamite Range, famous for its scenic drives and views of the South China Sea.
Although it falls within Hue’s administrative boundaries, it’s close to Da Nang and makes a great stop to enjoy the scenery on the way to Hue.
(If your Pick-up is in Lang Co, the route does not allow for a visit to Hai Van Pass.)

10:00 Hue Royal Palace (Kinh thành Huế)

12:30 Vietnamese home-style meal at CHẠN Restaurant: A Vietnamese home-style set meal is included for lunch. While less well-known than pho or bánh mì, it features dishes Vietnamese people enjoy every day.
One set is provided for every two guests and includes:
- Rice
- Stir-fried morning glory
- Braised pork
- Grilled meat
- Garlic shrimp
Drinks are not included. You can order them when you arrive at the restaurant and pay separately.

13:30 Khai Dinh Tomb

Minh Mang Tomb: Begun in 1804 and completed in just over three years, the Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang is one of the architectural structures influenced by Chinese design.
Emperor Minh Mang worked hard to strengthen the country, and his reign marked the golden age of the Nguyen Dynasty.
The tomb is especially striking for the statues of civil and military officials, horses, and elephants lining both sides of Dai Hong Mon, the main gate, and the grandeur of Sung An Dien.

Thien Mu Pagoda: Located on a hill overlooking the Perfume River, the pagoda was built in 1601 and is famous for its seven-story tower.
At the entrance stands an octagonal, seven-story tower built in the 19th century. Rising more than 21 meters, it is considered one of Vietnam’s most iconic architectural landmarks. Each level houses a Buddha statue, and two pavilions stand on either side of the tower. One contains a stele mounted on the back of a large turtle, while the other houses a massive bell weighing over 2 tons.
