💡 Information on Purchasing Travel Insurance in Taiwan
- Taiwan’s local one-day travel insurance is mandatory. Coverage applies only to vehicle accidents and any resulting injuries or fatalities that occur during the scheduled tour hours on the day of participation. Loss of or damage to personal belongings is not covered.
- The required information for insurance enrollment, including your name in English and Korean, passport number, and date of birth, must be provided at least 2 business days before the participation date, or 3 days in advance if weekends or public holidays are included.
- Insurance enrollment is not available on weekends, public holidays, or the day of the event.
- If any required information is missing or not provided by the deadline, local travel insurance cannot be arranged. Please note that the local Taiwan land operator is not responsible for any resulting disadvantages.
- Claims under Taiwan’s local travel insurance must be filed based on the original medical certificate and hospital payment receipts issued after receiving treatment at a medical institution in Taiwan on the day of the accident. Whether compensation will be paid is determined following a review in accordance with Taiwan’s insurance regulations.
If you do not receive treatment at a medical institution in Taiwan on the day of the accident, you may not be able to file a claim later. Please be sure to seek medical attention on the day of the accident.
- The time required for insurance payment may vary depending on the insurer’s review process and generally takes at least 3 weeks.
☀️ Handy Tips for Summer Travel in Taiwan
Taiwanese summers are hot, with frequent sudden showers. We usually make every effort to provide spare umbrellas and bottled water in the vehicle, but preparations may vary by vehicle. Bringing a small folding umbrella for your parents and a personal drink will help ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable trip.
🙌 How do I tip?
Tipping is not mandatory in Taiwan, but many guests choose to offer a small tip as a token of appreciation to the driver for their safe driving and support throughout the tour.

If you enjoyed the tour, we would appreciate it if you could give the driver a tip of around 200–500TWD per group directly.

Tipping is entirely optional, but it is a great encouragement and source of motivation for the driver. 😊
