💡Information on Purchasing Local Travel Insurance in Taiwan
💡Information on Enrolling in Taiwan Local Travel Insurance

Enrollment in Taiwan local 1-day travel insurance is mandatory. Coverage is limited to vehicle accidents and any resulting injuries or fatalities that occur during the scheduled tour hours on the day of participation (08:00–19:00). Loss of or damage to personal belongings is not covered.

Please provide all required information for enrollment, including your name in English and Korean, passport number, and date of birth, at least 2 business days before the participation date. If the period includes a weekend or public holiday, the information must be provided at least 3 days in advance.

Insurance enrollment is not available on weekends, public holidays, or the day of the tour.

If any required information is missing or not provided by the deadline, enrollment in Taiwan local travel insurance will not be possible. Please note that the local Taiwan tour operator cannot be held responsible for any resulting disadvantages.

Claims under Taiwan local travel insurance are processed based on the original medical certificate and hospital receipts issued after receiving treatment at a local medical institution in Taiwan on the day of the accident. Whether compensation will be paid is determined following a review in accordance with Taiwan’s insurance regulations.

If you do not receive treatment at a local medical institution in Taiwan on the day of the accident, you may not be able to file an insurance claim later. Please make sure to seek medical attention on the same day.

The payment date may vary depending on the insurance company’s review, and the process generally takes at least 3 weeks.
🙌 Please note! Information on tipping etiquette
Taiwan does not have a mandatory tipping culture, but it is customary to offer a tip as a gesture of appreciation to the driver for safe driving and managing the itinerary throughout the tour.

If you enjoyed the tour, we would appreciate it if you could give the driver a tip of around 200–500TWD per group directly.

Tipping is entirely optional, but it is a meaningful encouragement and support for the driver. 😊
