- 💡 Information on Purchasing Travel Insurance Locally in Taiwan
-
Taiwan local one-day travel insurance is mandatory. Coverage is limited to vehicle accidents and any resulting injury or death that occur during the tour hours on the day of participation. (Loss of or damage to personal belongings is not covered.)
Please provide all required information for enrollment, including your name in English and Korean, passport number, and date of birth, no later than 2 business days before the participation date—or 3 days in advance when weekends or public holidays are included.
Insurance enrollment is not available on weekends, public holidays, or the day of the event.
If any required information is missing or not provided by the deadline, local Taiwan travel insurance cannot be arranged. Please note that the local Taiwan ground operator is not responsible for any resulting disadvantages.
Claims under the local Taiwan travel insurance must be supported by the original medical certificate and hospital payment receipts issued after receiving treatment at a local medical institution in Taiwan on the day of the accident. Payment of benefits will be determined following a review in accordance with Taiwan’s insurance regulations.
If you do not receive treatment at a local medical institution in Taiwan on the day of the accident, you may be unable to file a claim later. Please ensure that you receive medical attention on the same day.
The payment timeline may vary depending on the insurer’s review process and generally takes at least 3 weeks. - 🙌 Please note: Tipping etiquette guide
-
Taiwan does not require tipping, but it is customary to offer a small tip to the driver as a gesture of appreciation for their safe driving and assistance throughout the tour.
If you enjoyed the tour, we would appreciate it if you could give the driver a tip of approximately 1,000–3,000TWD per group directly.
Tipping is entirely optional, but it is a meaningful encouragement and support for the driver (Guide). 😊
