What is the Oslob Whale Shark + Moalboal Island-Hopping Tour?
This tour combines an Oslob whale shark experience at the only place in the world where you can see whale sharks being fed by people with a trip to Pescador Island in Moalboal, one of the most pristine spots on Cebu Island.

Meet your local driver at your resort, then travel about 180KM to Oslob. The drive follows a coastal road with beautiful views all the way, so even if you get sleepy, be sure to look up now and then and enjoy the scenery.

After about three hours on the road, you’ll arrive in Oslob. When the whale sharks gather at feeding time, you’ll enter the water to see them. Local staff will take care of attracting the whale sharks and taking photos, so you can focus on watching these amazing animals.

After this short but unforgettable whale shark-watching experience, you’ll head straight to Moalboal for a hopping tour. You’ll have lunch near Moalboal first, with free time to dine at Gaisano Mall. Please note that the cost of lunch is not included in the tour.

Pescador Island, your destination in Moalboal, remains beautifully unspoiled and is also a popular spot for scuba divers. Even if you can’t swim, dedicated local staff will help you enjoy snorkeling.

The water is teeming with colorful fish, and if you’re lucky, you may also see a school of sardines and sea turtles. You’re welcome to bring snacks to enjoy during the tour.

The return journey takes over three hours, so feel free to get some rest on the way back.

What to Bring
Please bring a swimsuit, as you’ll need to wear one for both tours. Be sure to bring your personal toiletries and a towel. We also recommend bringing a change of clothes, an extra towel, and a waterproof bag. Snorkeling gear and life jackets are available to borrow free of charge during the island-hopping tour. As these items are shared, however, they may not always be in the cleanest condition. If you prefer, please bring your own snorkeling gear. Since we leave for Oslob early, we can stop at a Jollibee or another spot along the way where you can grab a quick breakfast. Breakfast is not included in the tour price, so please bring some spending money. If you’d rather skip breakfast, we can head straight to Oslob without stopping. Please let your driver know if you’d like to do so. If you don’t want to have lunch at HK Resort (at your own expense) and would like to return straight to your accommodation, please let your tour driver know.

✔️ The standard island-hopping tour has been changed to a snorkeling tour that does not use a banca boat. If you would like to visit Pescador Island and join the island-hopping tour, please select the island-hopping option when booking. There is no additional charge for this option.

✔️ During the snorkeling tour, you can relax and snorkel at the base camp instead of on a banca boat. You can also enjoy drinks at the base camp while taking in the ocean views (at your own expense).

✔️ If you’re bringing suitcases or other luggage, each vehicle can accommodate up to 6 guests, so bookings for 8 guests cannot be accommodated in one vehicle. An additional charge may apply if an extra van is required.
Important Information and Notes
✅ Please take all personal belongings, accessories, wallets, and other valuables with you when getting on or off vehicles and boats.
✅ The island-hopping tour takes place aboard a small traditional outrigger boat (banca). Please note that its motor can be noisy when booking.
✅ The schedule may change depending on road and traffic conditions.
✅ Sea entry may occasionally be prohibited on the day due to weather or wave conditions. We will let you know in advance if this happens.
✅ In accordance with guidance from the Philippine Coast Guard, the itinerary and timing may change on the day due to weather, without prior notice.
✅ For the Oslob Whale Shark & Moalboal Hopping Tour operated by the Philippine Department of Tourism, your vehicle is for your exclusive use. However, depending on conditions at the site on the day, you may share the banca (traditional boat) used to view the whale sharks with other travelers.
✅ The Oslob Whale Shark & Moalboal Hopping Tour operates on a first-come, first-served basis according to arrival time, so please be prepared for potentially long waits.
✅ Breakfast is not included. If you do not wish to have breakfast, please let your driver know.
✅ Meals during the tour are not included, so please bring enough money to cover your expenses.
✅ This is a long-distance tour with more than 8 hours of total driving time. It may not be suitable for children or older guests who may find the physical demands difficult.
✅ Accidents resulting from failure to follow safety instructions are not eligible for compensation.
✅ The vehicle will wait for up to 30 minutes after the scheduled Pick-up time. After that, you will be marked as a no-show, and changes to the booking or a full refund will not be available.
✅ During the Oslob tour, some activities, including whale shark viewing and snorkeling, may be canceled due to sudden whale shark movements, weather, or other circumstances.
✅ Although this has not happened before, underwater filming may occasionally result in lost photos due to an SD card or camera malfunction.
✅ Please note that action camera filming is provided as a complimentary service, so complaints related to lost footage cannot be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
✅ Additional charges for Pick-up or Drop-off may apply depending on your location.
