What is the Oslob Whale Shark + Kawasan Canyoneering Tour?
We’ve combined two of Cebu’s hottest tours: the Oslob whale shark tour, where you can see whale sharks being fed by people—the only place in the world where this is possible—and a canyoneering adventure through Kawasan Valley.

First, meet your local driver at your resort and head to Oslob, about 180 km away. The drive follows a coastal road for much of the way, so even if you feel sleepy, be sure to open your eyes now and then to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

After about three hours on the road, you’ll arrive in Oslob. When the whale sharks gather for feeding time, head into the water. Leave calling the whale sharks and taking photos to the local staff so you can focus on watching them. The staff will take plenty of photos with an underwater camera.

After this short but unforgettable whale shark-watching experience, you’ll set off for Kawasan. The drive takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, and you’ll have lunch before your canyoneering adventure.

Canyoneering takes you over mountains and through water, so be sure to eat well beforehand. The tour begins with a brief safety orientation and lasts about two hours.

Take on only the challenges that feel right for you on the day. Most importantly, follow your Guide’s instructions at all times and take extra care to stay safe. Even with local staff looking out for your safety, a moment of carelessness can lead to a serious accident. We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to stay alert throughout this tour.

It’s sure to be an exciting experience, but please put safety first and enjoy the adventure. ^^

After the two-hour tour, you’ll head back to your resort. The return journey takes at least three hours, so feel free to get some rest along the way. ^^
Meeting and Pick-up Location Information
This tour includes Pick-up and Drop-off at your hotel in Cebu City or Mactan. Please provide your hotel name when booking.

If you book airport pickup, please provide your flight number. Pick-up is at 2:30 in the arrivals hall, in front of Camden Food Co. (convenience store).

    - If you’d like to use a wetsuit, please mention it in your request. Wetsuits are provided complimentary for Kawasan canyoneering only, and sizes may run small or large. There may not be enough wetsuits in every size for all participants. As wetsuits are provided as a complimentary service, we’re unable to accept complaints regarding their availability or fit. Thank you for your understanding.

    As we depart early for Oslob, we’ll stop at a Jollibee or similar along the way so you can have a light breakfast. Breakfast is not included in the tour, so please bring cash to cover the cost.

    If you don’t want breakfast, you can go straight to Oslob without stopping. Please let your Guide know directly if you’d prefer this option.
What to Bring
Please bring your swimsuit, as it’s required for both tours. Be sure to pack your own toiletries and towel, and we also recommend bringing a change of clothes, an extra towel, and a waterproof pouch.
Child policy
This is a long-distance tour with more than 8 hours of total travel time. It may be too physically demanding for young children and seniors.

Important Information
✔️ The vehicle will wait for up to 30 minutes after the scheduled Pick-up time. After that, you will be considered a no-show, and changes or full refunds will not be available.

✔️ For Oslob whale shark tours operated by the Philippine Department of Tourism, you will have a private vehicle, but you will share the bangka (traditional boat) with other travelers when viewing the whale sharks.

✔️ The shuttle bus to the canyoneering course may be shared with other travelers.
Information and Important Notes
✅ Please take all personal belongings, accessories, wallets, and other valuables with you when getting on or off vehicles and boats.

✅ Tour schedules may change depending on road and traffic conditions.

✅ In rare cases, sea entry may not be possible on the day due to weather conditions, such as waves. If this happens, the whale shark watching fee will be refunded.

✅ Accidents can occur during tours and water activities. Please follow all safety instructions and wear the required safety equipment.

✅ Canyoning is a high-risk activity that includes cliff jumping and climbing. Please take extra care to ensure your personal safety.

✅ No compensation will be provided for accidents resulting from failure to follow safety instructions.

✅ During the Oslob tour, some activities, including viewing and snorkeling, may be canceled due to circumstances such as sudden whale shark movements or weather conditions.

✅ The Oslob whale shark tour and Kawasan canyoneering operate on a first-come, first-served basis for arrivals that day, so you may have a long wait. Thank you for your understanding.

✅ Although this has not happened before, underwater filming may result in photos being lost due to an SD card or camera malfunction. Action camera filming is provided as a complimentary service, so complaints regarding lost footage cannot be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding.

✅ Canyoning cleanup is usually scheduled for the third or fourth Wednesday of each month. However, cleanup schedules can change at random in accordance with government directives, and this can only be confirmed on the day. Access may therefore be unavailable. Please avoid booking on Wednesdays, which are cleanup days.

✅ Additional charges may apply for Pick-up and Drop-off, depending on your location.
